Bilateral Cooperation

KINS has shared its views and experiences on all essential aspects of safety regulation with international peers through bilateral channels by continually expanding its international outreach to enhance bilateral cooperation in the field of nuclear safety.

  • regulatory review, safety assessment, safety inspection, review and assessment of licenses, and radiation protection with respect to radiological and nuclear facilities;
  • development of legislation, regulations, regulatory codes, standards, criteria and guidelines in connection with nuclear and radiation safety;
  • radiological emergency preparedness;
  • exchange of regulatory advisers, expert technicians, officers, fellows and laboratory services;
  • joint scientific conferences, symposiums, training courses, seminars, and workshops;
  • development of certification programs for inspectors on nuclear and radiation safety; and
  • other fields as may be jointly agreed decided by the Parties
